Blog.

So I'm tentatively starting a food diary with a few disclaimers. It will not be everyday, because that's just stressful. I will also probably go back and forth between being concerned about a bunch of different things about food as my loyalties are often pulled around between: organic, low calorie, healthy, local, vegetarian, affordable, and convenient. But, I was actually excited about a few things I just ate so I'll try to post those rather than the crap decisions I make that will certainly not give anyone any good ideas.

Tonight I had a salad with lettuce I found at the farmer's market in Toccoa. Reduced fat Cheese, 1/2 avocado, organic tortilla chips, organic pinto beans, and organic salsa. YUM.

The other day I made a really simple recipe I found in the most recent Health magazine that was delicious. 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes. 2 zucchini. one clove garlic. one ear's worth of corn kernels. You just saute the zucchini and garlic in olive oil, salt and pepper it, and add the tomatoes and corn when it's started browning. you're supposed to use basil too but I skipped that because I didn't want to go to more than one place looking for it. (2 servings)

DELICIOUS. And I just ate it with beans, but any protein would be good. So filling and delicious. A piece of bread or some other carb probably would have been good because I got really hungry at bedtime.
